What?

The National Alpine Training Centre (NATC) FIS program is designed for athletes looking for a highly individualized high-performance year-round training program.  There is an 'Expectation of Excellence' within the NATC program whereas each athlete is expected to train and compete daily to the best of their ability.  The combination of excellent coaching, individualized programming and a high performance environment has proven to be very successful.  Many NATC alumni have gone on to succesfully represent Canada as well as other countries at the national and international level.  NATC athletes (alumni athletes) have won over 30 National titles in the past 10 years.

When, Where and How Often?

The FIS program includes a year-round dryland training and sport science program that begins in mid-May and includes elements of individualized athlete conditioning, sport psychology and nutrition.

On-snow training is held throughout the year and includes Southern Hemisphere summer training camps as well as early season North American training camps.  Regular season training is generally offered 4 - 5 days per week dependent upon the competition schedule and athlete needs.

On-snow training is generally held in the mornings followed by a gym session in the afternoon.  Full day on-snow training sessions will also be incorporated dependent upon athlete needs.
