<p><strong><em>What?</em></strong></p>
<p>The National Alpine Training Centre (NATC) FIS program is designed for athletes looking for a highly individualized high-performance year-round training program.&nbsp; There is an 'Expectation of Excellence' within the NATC program whereas each athlete is expected to train and compete daily to the best of their ability.&nbsp; The combination of excellent coaching, individualized programming and a high performance environment has proven to be very successful.&nbsp; Many NATC alumni have gone on to succesfully represent Canada as well as other countries at the national and international level.&nbsp; NATC athletes (alumni athletes) have won over 30 National titles in the past 10 years.</p>
<p><strong><em>When, Where and How Often?</em></strong></p>
<p>The FIS program includes a year-round dryland training and sport science program that begins in mid-May and includes elements of individualized athlete conditioning, sport psychology and nutrition.</p>
<p>On-snow training is held throughout the year and includes&nbsp;Southern Hemisphere summer training camps as well as early season North American training camps.&nbsp; Regular season training is generally offered 4 - 5 days per week dependent upon the competition schedule and athlete needs.</p>
<p>On-snow training is generally held in the mornings followed by a gym session in the afternoon.&nbsp; Full day on-snow training sessions will also be incorporated dependent upon athlete needs.</p>
