Mini Meisters

Who?

4 and 5 year olds, born in 2004 and 2005

What?

The Mini Meisters program is designed for the up and comers in the family who may have older siblings in our other programs. We aim to make the early years on snow both productive and FUN! Our enthusiastic coaches promote on-snow games and tons of skiing. The Mini Meisters program is a great start for your little rippers!

Where, When and How Often?

Mini Meisters train on Saturdays or Sundays at Nakiska

Start Date: January 2nd, 2010 for the Saturday group; January 3rd for the Sunday group

Finish Date: April 3rd or 4th, No training on Family Day Weekend February 13th/14th 

Start Time: 9:30am Finish Time: 3:30pm

Lunch Break: 11:30 – 12:15 with additional breaks throughout the day as needed

 

How Many Days?

Mini Meisters train for 13 days

Where will we ski?

Nakiska 

Recommended Pass(es)

Nakiska season pass 

Children under 5 ski for free at Nakiska - visit www.skinakiska.com for details

Minimum Skill Level:

  • Mini Meisters must have the ability to stop, turn and ski independently on green terrain (e.g. the main run at Canada Olympic Park or the Bronze Chairlift at Nakiska)
  • Please contact the Program Director if you are unsure or have questions

Average athlete to coach ratio: 5 to 1 – all athletes will be grouped according to their skiing ability

Program Costs:

Per Athlete

Program Fee (includes all on-snow coaching) $550

Alberta Alpine Registration/Insurance $80

(Mandatory for all registered athletes, includes coverage for all training and races)

Per Family

Family Membership $60

(Includes coverage for family members volunteering at competitive events)

Alberta Alpine Raffle Ticket Fundraiser $100

(This is a fully cost-recoverable fundraiser, only 1 book of tickets is purchased by every family)

Inclusions:

All on-snow coaching 

Training/lane fees (not including pre/post-season training) 

End of season report

Year-end banquet (athlete only)

Exclusions:

Ski Equipment 

Lift Tickets and Season Passes 

Race/Camp Fees (travel, accomodation, food, coach expenses)
