NASA TOP OF THE PODIUM AT NATIONAL SPORTS SCHOOL AWARDS
It was a great evening at the ATCO Centre on October 6th for the annual NSS Awards Evening. Every year NSS recognizes those student athletes who excel in academics and citizenship. In attendance were students, NSS staff and a number of dignitaries representing both sport and the greater community. To name just a few, Leslie Conway(CEO, Hopewell Developments) a board member of WinSport Canada and Alana Delong M.L.A for Calgary Bow were presenters. Current NATC FIS athlete Kaitlyn Verge was a co-emcee for the evening (she did a great job).
In all, seven current members of NATC- NASA were recognized for their achievements this past year. This is a major achievement for these athletes given how much time they are away from school. These athletes are focused and make the sacrifices necessary to achieve their goals.
