Ride Sharing
With the rising cost of gas and increased costs of living, more families are opting to carpool to the various training/competition venues. It’s also a popular option because of the environmental benefits - reducing the number of cars on the road. Todays busy family schedules with children in multiple activities/sports may also make it difficult for them to transport their NASA athlete(s) to all the regularily scheduled training sessions. This discusion page was therefore created to provide a forum for NASA families to post inquiries regarding carpooling and/or ride sharing needs and opportunities. All NASA member families are encouraged to post a note on this page whether they are looking for a ride or they have space available for additional athletes. Please include the following in all posts:
- Date ride is needed or available
- Number of athletes requiring transportation - Number of seats available
- Age of athlete(s)
- Pickup/dropoff location - area of city or specific site
- Contact information
