National Alpine Training Centre
The Minimeister program is a half day program designed for the up and comers in the family who may have older siblings in one of our member club programs. This program centres on the early stages of the Gliding Start phase of Alpine Canada's Long Term Athlete Development plan. The focus is on controlling speed, learning to play on skis and to boost skills and confidence.
This is a parented program where the expectation is for parents to tailgun the group and assist with riding the chairlift. Athletes must be comfortable riding the Silver Chair at Nakiska and must be able to ski from the top of the Silver Chair at Nakiska to the base area lodge.
Who: Athletes born in 2014 and 2015.
Prerequisites: If you are a new family to ski club, your athlete must be able to ski safely from the top of the Silver Chair at Nakiska to the base area.
Please note: you can register for our program mid-season if your athlete needs some additional time in ski school prior to joining ski club. Email us at anytime throughout the season for details at firstname.lastname@example.org.
